The Happiness Ride

The Problem of Creating Happiness

Problem: Happiness is hard to define. It means different things to different people.

Our Solution: Through self-questioning and global sharing, we may begin to understand our own personal happiness drivers. We invite you to connect with us and engage with members of this community by sharing your personal happiness story. Once you know what makes you happy, you’re more likely to give yourself that gift. And in return, you’re able to share that gift with others and celebrate.

Problem: It’s a complex world. The media, friends, families, neighbors and even complete strangers influence our thoughts, behaviors and state of happiness – sometimes trapping us in negativity.

Our Solution: We’re connecting individuals from around the world who no longer want to take happiness for granted. The Ride enables the exchange of new stories in new ways in an open forum. So go ahead, make authentic connections with others and build your community. You’ll live a more authentic and fulfilled life through self-expression and by understanding what drives your own personal happiness.

Problem: We have the ultimate power to create and shape our happiness, but for one reason or another, we don’t always recognize or make it a priority.

Our Solution: Happiness shouldn’t be viewed as an end result, but rather the driving force of everything that we do. By actively choosing to put happiness first, we can self-select to participate in behaviors and activities that drive our own happiness and the happiness of others. Follow The Ride and get involved. Donate time, money or in-kind services. When you extend generosity, you always get more than you give.

What We Believe

We believe that the natural state of human beings is to be happy and by removing all real and imagined obstacles to happiness, it will arise on its own. Motivated by compassion in action, we believe that no one should be denied access to basic education, social services, or health care. We believe that communities can be lifted out of poverty, that change is possible, that people are valuable.

About Donations

Eighty percent of The Happiness Ride’s proceeds will benefit organizations that remove obstacles to happiness and provide healthcare, education and social services for under-served communities. Twenty percent of proceeds cover the costs of filmmaking and developing other intellectual property such as books and web content. For their excellence, this years chosen charity is Direct Relief now focusing on Louisiana.
